The Trust Factor
A daily lesson that focuses on achieving unparalleled success in life using ancient wisdom in modern times.
We will be discussing critical concepts as they are laid out in the book Sha'ar Habitachon - The Gate of Trust. Written 1000 years ago, the author reminds us of the values and wisdom that have allowed humanity to thrive throughout history.
The concept of trusting in a higher power that exists purely for our benefit, puts us in the drivers seat with absolute confidence to achieve greatness.
Eliminate: Fear, Hatred, Anxiety, Depression, Jealousy, Greed...forever!

Episode 93 - Your Creator Has Already Planted Your Career Path Within You
What type of work are you truly meant to do? The answer may already be written within your very nature. Drawing from 800-year-old wisdom that remains surprisingly relevant today, we explore how to align your livelihood with your divinely-created abilities and inclinations.
Your physical and intellectual capacities offer the first critical clue to finding fulfilling work. Those blessed with physical strength might thrive in trades requiring exertion—construction, automotive repair, or skilled labor. Meanwhile, intellectually gifted individuals should leverage their mental capabilities rather than exhausting their bodies. Most fascinating is the recognition that each person has been imbued with natural attractions toward specific types of work—divine signposts pointing toward your ideal path.
We also tackle a crucial modern problem: the epidemic of unqualified "coaches" and "mentors" offering guidance while their own lives remain in disarray. Before presuming to teach others, we must first achieve mastery in our own domains. This principle applies universally but proves especially vital in fields centered on human development. Too many protesters and self-proclaimed experts speak confidently about subjects they barely understand—a dangerous trend that undermines authentic wisdom.
Whether you're starting your career journey or considering a change, these timeless principles offer a framework for making choices that honor your unique design. Good morning everybody, and welcome to the Trust Factor the podcast, the only podcast that guarantees your success when you implement the divine teachings. The teachings for today, my friends, are revolving around the concept of work, earning a living. Which job do you take, which business should you open? Which industry should you be in from the get-go right, because there's all different types of people, and so what we're about to get into right now is a discussion around somebody who has faith and trust in their creator. What considerations should they make when finding a means of a livelihood? Let's get into it.
Speaker 0:It says knowing how to make this choice is crucial, because the avenues for earning a living are many. There are so many different ways that a person can go about gaining his livelihood. Some are easy, involving little physical exertion. Now, remember Rabbeinu Bachi was 800 plus years ago. Okay, but you will see many similarities in the way that people used to make their living, as opposed to the way that they do them today. It says some of these that involve little physical exertion, such as running a store or performing a handicraft that involves little physical effort, such as stitching clothes, doing needlework, being a scribe, storing merchandise until its prices rise, or acting as a middleman in the hiring of sharecroppers, laborers and assistants that land owners need for agricultural labor. You know, today we have these. These are your employment agencies. These are middle people who will find you laborers. I use them often in my business and they take a few dollars an hour. They do no physical work whatsoever. They sit in an office, they take people's resumes and they connect them online with employers looking to hire. They make a few dollars every single hour that another individual is doing their hard labor. These individuals are making dollars every single hour based on somebody else's labor. It doesn't get much easier than that, my friend.
Speaker 0:However, he says there are also some means of earning a livelihood that involve physical toil and exertion, such as tanning skins. They used to tan skins animal hides for many, many different reasons. The primary one for us is writing Torah scrolls. We write them on animal hides, and so they need to be tanned before you can actually write on them. I've had the merit of going to a factory in Israel in Netanya, there's a factory that actually does this, because I do some scribal writing on the side, and I did a tour with my family a couple of years ago. We walked through one of these factories and it's unbelievable to see Now today. They have a lot of equipment that helps them to process these things, but there are still parts of the job that are very much labor intensive and it's very interesting to see. If you ever have an opportunity to go see this, I'd highly suggest it. There are a few of them in Israel. There are some of them, obviously, outside of Israel, but it's nice to see the ones that are being done to write Sefer, torahs and other religious type writings.
Speaker 0:Other examples mining iron, copper and lead from their places of origin in the earth, or refining silver by means, by smelting it with lead, carrying heavy burdens or constantly traveling long distances or working the land and plowing it and the like. Many different examples of physical labor. Today we've got construction, we've got automotive repair and body work. There's so many different types of industries that require a lot of physical exertion. Now he says, with regards to a person who's physically strong and intellectually weak, some people have the means, the physical means, to do the heavy lifting, maybe up top. They're not intellectuals, which is fine. It doesn't mean they have to be fools. But generally speaking, they're not intellectuals, they're more physically capable.
Speaker 0:It's appropriate for him to choose a means of earning a livelihood that involves physical exertion to the degree that he can endure. Not rocket science. Guys, you're a strong guy physically. You've got capabilities to do physical work. Up top is secondary in terms of your intellectual capabilities, a secondary or tertiary. So you'd probably be better suited in a trade plumbing, hvac, electrical construction, auto body mechanic there's no lack of opportunities for you to find work.
Speaker 0:Then you also have the individual who says over here, someone who's physically weak and intellectually strong. You have somebody who's simply not built well. He's a very frail, fragile individual, skinny, doesn't have a lot of lifting capabilities, but intellectually has very much potential to do a lot of different things Wonderful. He should not seek out means of sustenance that exhaust his body Again, not rocket science. This is low-level, entry-level type stuff, my friends. Rather, he should turn to whatever occupation is easy on his body and which he will be able to continue to do for many years.
Speaker 0:Thus, one consideration for choosing an occupation is physical and intellectual aptitude. Okay, guys, nothing earth shattering over here. But if you're young and you're up and coming and you want to find work, do an assessment of who you are Now. That doesn't mean that you can't be somebody who's got the physical strength and the intellectual strength. In that case and this is all my opinion, my friends this is after being in business for decades I can tell you that if you've got the physical and the emotional capability to be able to earn a living, choose intellectual. More times than not, it's going to help you, it's going to be easier. You're going to have much more capabilities. When you're limited by your physicality, then you can only earn what your two hands can achieve, what you can do with your own two hands. That is the limitations to your earning potentials.
Speaker 0:Now, somebody who's an intellect, somebody who uses their mind, somebody in the employment agency business, they can have unlimited income based on how many people they have that they're finding work for, how many people are out in the workforce at any given time making money, working hard. They're making money off of their physical exertion because they've got the intellectual prowess to be able to find those people good work, to be able to make connections between employees and employers. If you have a choice of where to exert your energy, whether intellectual or physical my advice to you is choose intellectual. You can also choose jobs that are physical but have an intellectual component. Just because they're physical doesn't mean they're completely devoid of intellectual thought. Sometimes you have to plan and create and come up with strategies and figure out solutions and troubleshooting. Some of them require a lot of brain power. It's not exclusively physical, so there's obviously hybrids over here.
Speaker 0:My friends, the general concept that we're trying to put forward here is if you're weak physically, don't get out and start doing the heavy lifting. You're not going to last long. It's going to take a toil on your body and therefore on your mind, and you will not be a happy person. That's the simple understanding of what we've read so far. Let's continue.
Speaker 0:He says also every person has an inclination for one particular type of work or business over another, because the Almighty has already imbued a liking and preference for it to his nature. In other words, there are things which you will naturally gravitate towards. There are things in this world, whether they're hobbies or simple things that you are attracted to, that you can connect with or that are a passion for you. Some people have a passion for music, whether it's playing an instrument or singing a song. There are many industries that you can get into around music. You have a natural inclination towards music. Wonderful, look for that.
Speaker 0:You're the kind of kid who loves to take things apart. You're the kind of kid who loves to take things apart. You're the kind of kid or your children, when you're watching them, are the kind of kids who like to take things apart and put them back together again. They're always asking questions about how things work and how they operate operating principles. They're they're in awe of these things. I was very much like that as a child. If you see that in your child, then understand that they are going to be drawn to industries where they're often troubleshooting things creating building equipment or maintaining equipment or repairing equipment or inventing equipment, whatever it may be. But know that these are things that you have a predisposition to, that God has already put inside of you an attraction. If you're a person who likes to inspire people, who likes to motivate people, then a life of coaching and motivation could be for you.
Speaker 0:The problem today, and has always been a problem for a long time, is today the coaches are the ones who need to be coached Today, the people who are trying to be life coaches and teachers and instructors and mentors. They themselves don't have the wherewithal to even approach doing that job. Their lives are in shambles and they're trying to teach other people to do it. I'm not making this up, my friends, I've seen this so many times that these people, whose lives are upside down, think and have diluted themselves to believe that they have the ability to go and teach other people how to conduct things in their lives. It's a very, very dangerous situation, my friends, very dangerous. Sometimes they do it because it helps them, in other words, to help other people, to give other people advice. Sometimes they see themselves taking their own advice. Okay, wonderful, but it's better if you first fix your own backyard, it's better if you first clean up your room before you go out and tell other people how to clean their room.
Speaker 0:Today, we're living in a society of entitled individuals who want to have an opinion on absolutely everything and and they have zero knowledge, zero facts to support the basis of their claims and the way that they operate, and yet they want everybody else to tag along and toe the line and follow their approach to life.
Speaker 0:That's what we see in the streets. Go to any one of these rallies that you see in the streets, no matter which one they are, and put a microphone in these people's faces and ask them basic questions and you will find that they know nothing about the subject, that they're there protesting. They've taken time out of their day, they've walked away from work, they've abandoned their families to go out and spend days and weeks and months protesting. Ask them a simple question about why they're protesting. They haven't got a clue. So the bottom line is if you are involved in coaching and mentoring as a source of livelihood, which is a wonderful industry, make sure that you first do the prerequisite work to be able to attain the knowledge and the skills and the experience in order to teach. That sums it up for today, my friends. We're going to continue with this concept of work tomorrow. Have an amazing day.
