The world feels louder every year, and when everything is competing for your attention, it’s easy to lose the one thing that actually steadies a life: trust. We start with the power of brachas and why dedicating a moment of real thought to someone else’s healing or parnasa isn’t small, it’s spiritual work that changes you.

From there, we dive into Pirkei Avot and a line that flips the modern money story on its head: give from what is already His, because you and your possessions are His. We talk about why two people can work equally hard and end up in completely different places, and how Torah wisdom reframes success, struggle, and responsibility. The takeaway is practical Jewish spirituality: effort matters, but ownership is an illusion, and gratitude makes generosity possible.

We then move into remembering Torah and passing it forward, connecting it to Jewish memory, Passover, and the obligation to keep learning alive in your home and community. Finally, we take on fear and health through a Breslov teaching about courage, including a strong reminder to respect doctors without turning medicine into your god. If you’ve ever felt shaken by a prognosis, overwhelmed by doomsday messaging, or stuck in health anxiety, this conversation aims to rebuild emunah and restore calm.

The world is louder and more chaotic than ever. That's why clarity and truth have never been more important. Welcome to the Trust Factor Podcast. Good morning, everybody. Welcome to the Trust Factor Podcast. Another episode packed full of information. And before we get into it, we have our first personal sponsors. We have corporate sponsors lined up. Thank God. And we also have the opportunity for personal sponsorship. Like we've mentioned a couple of times today. This episode, I'm proud, and I'm actually quite moved to be able to have the opportunity to give out these brachas, these blessings for individuals to be able to gain, to benefit from the beautiful Torah wisdom that we're sharing over here. And it's a very powerful tool, guys. So think about this. Have these names in the back of your mind. I know a lot of times you hear people giving these dedications and they rifle through them or they just skip forward. Take a minute. That's all it takes. You have no idea how powerful your blessings are. And when I read these names over and these blessings, it's for you guys to just contemplate them for a millisecond, each name. The power behind that is absolutely awesome. And the same way that we would want people praying on our behalf, we should pray on behalf of other people. It is a powerful, powerful tool. When Hashem sees that his children are praying for each other, you know the best way, think about this. I'll leave you with this, and then we'll get into the brachas and then into Pierkay, the Ethics of the Fathers. The best way for you to be able to gain whatever it is that you're looking for. Let's say you're looking for healing, you're not feeling well, you're dealing with an illness, and you want healing. The best way for you to get your healing is to pray for the healing of somebody else. If you pray for somebody else to have an income, that is the best way to secure a better income for yourself. When we're worried about our brothers and sisters, Hashem takes note and he says, if this guy is so busy worrying about everybody else, not only am I going to take care of everybody else, but I'm going to do the very same for him. So let's get into it. Today's episode is sponsored in the merit of a speedy recovery, Refuashlema, for Chabah Bat Rachel and for Parnasa, a good income for Gamliel ben Chaya Kochava. God willing, think about those people, and they should have everything that they need in the same way that we should all have those very same things. Let's get into it. Give him from his own. For you and your possessions are his. What does that mean? It sounds just like it means when you're taking your hard-earned money and you're giving it to Torah or like this, to dedications of individuals, healing and parnasa and all the things that they need, what are you really taking? You're taking from his money, anyways. You're taking from his possessions, because it says you and your possessions are his. When you approach the act of giving from that perspective, from a perspective of, I own nothing. Everything that I have has been given to me as a gift from my creator. How does that make sense? You take two people, one person thinks he's the hardest worker in the world, and the other person thinks nobody can replace him. He's brilliant and he works hard. Both of them are putting in a valiant effort. One might look at the other and think, that guy doesn't hold a candle to me. But at the end of the day, Hashem gives them compensation that is astronomically different than each other. Why? They're both putting in a hard day's work. They're both working exceedingly hard and taking that work very seriously, yet one comes up with fortunes. He's not any better educated, he doesn't have any family money, it's all coming strictly from his efforts on both sides. One makes truckloads of money and the other can't make ends meet. How do you explain it? And the answer is because you've been given exactly what you need. If you're supposed to make a million dollars because that's a part of your test, and that is the only way that you'll be able to achieve your purpose in this world, then he has to give you that million dollars, which means if you're doing the same work as every other person in the same field, but the average income in that field is 100,000, he's going to make you the exception and give you 10 times what everybody else makes. It's not because you're better or smarter or better looking or whatever it is that everybody wants to convince themselves this is why I'm worth so much more. Wrong. The approach is this. Remember that everything that I have, including my body, including my physical self, does not belong to me. It was all on loan. It's all part of the master plan. It is necessary for me to have this body, this spouse, these children, this home, these parents, the money that's in the bank, the job that I all of these things are necessary. Because if I don't get them, if God doesn't give them to me, based on previous go-arounds, after 120 years, I can come to him and say, wait a second, Hashem, you wanted me to repair. But how can I fix the situation between me and Joe if Joe is no longer around this go? Obviously, I can't. I need Joe around in order to repair. That's the same way I could say I needed to be a multi-billionaire in order to repair, because you have to put me in a same scenario and see how I'm gonna do this go around. So you didn't put me in that scenario. Therefore, I couldn't achieve my purpose. We have a real argument against our creator, and he knows that. And therefore, he has to put you in a situation whereby you have an opportunity to repair, which might mean for you that you have nothing. You have absolutely no possessions in this world or the alternative extreme. You have all the possessions in the world. How are you gonna make out? The best way to approach this is to think to yourself always, everything I'm giving is not mine, everything I have is not mine. Not only does it remind you and put your thoughts in perspective about what we just said, but it also makes it a lot easier to part with, which a lot of people have a hard time with, because, like we said, blood is money, money is blood, and that's why people have a hard time separating from it. When you recognize it's not yours, it's all on loan, anyways, it all belongs to the creator, anyways, it makes giving that much easier. Let's do one more. Whoever forgets anything about his Torah learning says that he bears guilt for his soul. What does that mean? That if I forget my Torah learning. So, two things here. Number one, it can be interpreted like the Rambam interprets, that you should not forget where your Torah came from, that you should not forget everything that your eyes have seen. What did your eyes see? Everything that happened in Egypt, everything that happened at Mount Sinai, the giving of the Torah, the open miracles, the whole entirety of Exodus and leaving Egypt and leaving slavery and coming to Israel. That was all us, our Nishamas, our souls were all there at Mount Sinai. And so we have the ability to remember them. But even if you don't, then the suggestion comes to remind you that you have an obligation, the same way that you received your Torah from your forefathers, your ancestors carried it down very carefully to make sure that not one letter was missing. You have an obligation to pass it down to your children. Make sure these lessons get to the next generation. Don't just keep them with you. Don't let these lessons stop with you. You have an obligation to pass them down to your children and your children's children. And that's the idea over here. Don't forget where it comes from. That's why the Jews are always reminding each other about all of the difficulties in our lives. A lot of the other nations in the world don't understand it. They think, why do the Jews have to have all these remembrance days and Holocaust remembrance and independence and all these holidays and all these opportunities to recall history? Let it go, move on already. And the answer is absolutely not. The same way we do Passover and we commemorate that Exodus from Egypt. For thousands of years since we left Egypt, that was the first Passover, and we carry it down from generation to generation. And we're very careful to share the story. That's the whole mitzvah of Passover, is to share the story of the Exodus, of how we became free people, of how we became servants of Hashem. That's the whole purpose, is to keep it alive and to perpetuate all of Torah to the next generation. That wraps it up for Pierre Kavot. Very important, my friends. Remember that we have an obligation to perpetuate all of this learning, every class that we have. That's why I keep telling you, please share the episode, share the podcast. There are so many people who need to hear it. Even if you're just sharing it with your children and your grandchildren, share it. It's not a nice idea. According to what we just learned, it is incumbent upon you. It's an obligation for you to share. Your children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren will thank you one day. The heading of this section is The Main Thing, don't be afraid. Brezhnev, the movement from which we're reading in the Garden of Amuna, is the movement that came up with that song. The whole world is a very narrow bridge, but the main thing is not to be afraid at all. That song comes from Brezhv, and that's really their mantra. They run through life with that. And it says, the message to physicians is to know your place and don't try to be God. And the message to the patient is not to be afraid of doctors or their forecasts, because everything depends on the creator anyway. So take courage and be strong. Blindly trusting in doctors and medicine is itself a form of heresy. It's almost like idol worship. I've seen it. You know these people. They sit in front of a doctor and they are trembling. They are terrified. It's as if they're sitting in front of God. Yes, doctor, no doctor. Can I ask a question, doctor? But I don't want to upset the doctor. And it's all about the doctor. So many are like that because they fear that the doctor has control over their health and over the outcome. Obviously, you need to treat them with respect and dignity and honor, as you would any other professional. But to put them on a pedestal, to make them out to be something above humans because they went to school and studied medicine, wrong. Absolutely wrong. Recognize that they're an important person, they are in an important role, and treat them with the honor and dignity that is due to them, but do not treat them as a god. Many people are afraid to sever their dependence on doctors and medicine, as if their lives were dependent on the man with the stethoscope around his neck rather than the hands of the creator. That's why patients who doctors try to scare into taking certain treatments or medicines shouldn't be daunted at all. One should fear and be in awe of the creator only and not the doctors and their admonitions and their decrees. They have no clue, my friends. The only one that you should be talking to and concerned with and asking for healing from is your creator because ultimately he's the only one who can control that even outside of a hospital, even before you step foot into a hospital. By the way, that's the best time to ask. You should know. Well, I heard this from my rabbi a long time ago. If you sense something is wrong, and we all know when something is wrong, and I'm not talking about a cold, I'm talking about something that's really off, something that's enough to scare you. Then the first thing you should do is turn to your creator at home in that moment. Don't wait a second and start yourself on a daily regimen of increased prayer, increased connection to your creator, and increased mitzvas, the actions that go along with that. Very, very important. If you start doing that right away, then Hashem takes note. And if you've done a proper chuva, a proper repentance, and you're doing things that show to your creator, look, it's worth keeping me here. I got the message. It's not gonna take long. It's in my head already. I know that you're doing this to me. I know there's a good reason for it. I know it's for my best. You don't need to schlep this out. It doesn't need to end up in the hospital, it doesn't need to end up with treatments. I don't need all that. I have clarity already. I have the eyes to see you, and I'm going to move forward based on that. When he sees that, it's enough. You've passed the test. And so you don't even end up in the hospital. So the key is that it's a lot easier for Hashem to be able to heal you before you've been diagnosed. Because once you've been diagnosed, once you've had the blood test, once you've gone through the scans, once you've had a formal diagnosis from one doctor, two doctors, three doctors, the more doctors come and tell you, yes, you're dealing with a very critical situation, the harder it is for Hashem to heal you. Not that it's difficult for him, but now he has to create an open miracle in your honor. And that's not a small price to pay. That is a huge bill that he has to be able to pay on your behalf. The question is, do you merit that? Do you merit him paying such a heavy price to be able to heal you that the whole world and all the doctors and the nurses and the medical system will see that he created a massive miracle for you, that today you're completely healthy and yesterday the prognosis was grim. They don't understand it. Sure, it happens, but you don't want to rely on that. You don't want to have to put all your eggs in that basket, that God's going to come to your rescue, even if it means an open miracle. And the way to avoid that is to not have to make him perform an open miracle. If no doctor's diagnosed you, if you haven't been to the hospital, if you haven't been prescribed medications for a certain illness, then it's so much easier for him to take it away just as quickly as he brought it. So acknowledge the problem right out the gate and turn to your creator immediately, not to doctors, so that you'll never have to deal with a doctor. That's the best case scenario, is that you never step foot into a doctor's office or you never step foot into a hospital. A lot of people are terrified of these places and for good reasons. We just finished talking about how so many doctors are constantly on this fear path of scaring everybody and doomsday messaging and everybody's dying of one form of illness or another. People try and avoid it. And I know people throughout COVID who avoided the hospital because of these things, like a plague and ultimately paid the ultimate price. So the system is not working properly. Doctors need to make sure that it's an a warm and caring and understanding environment, not one that should terrify people. But until they get that message, you and I have to do everything we can to get our message loud and clear and do the things that we need to do to connect back to our creator and ask him for the healing so that we never have to deal with the medical system.
