Money Will Come Without Gambling

SPEAKER_01

It's coming to you, anyways. If you have to make a half a million dollars today, it's not coming from the casino. It's going to come to you no matter what you do, as long as you get up and do something. Go to work and make an effort. It will come to you. He has a million ways to give it to you. You don't need to go and lower yourself and reduce yourself to walking into a casino. The whole premise of a casino is that they are taking your hard-earned money and we work so hard for our money. Nobody wants to part with it. Yeah, you get a little bit of enjoyment out of it, but nine times out of ten, you're coming out of there depressed because you just gave away your hard-earned money. Why? The trust factor is the ticket to a better life. The trust factor shows you how to get through the night.

UJA Walk And A Prayer Request

SPEAKER_01

We've got the UJA Walk for Israel that's happening today in Toronto. It's going to be an amazing event with huge, huge turnouts. Of course, there are going to be the haters, but hopefully that goes unnoticed and uneventful. The event should be a huge driver for solidarity with Israel. On another note, I want to dedicate this podcast, this episode, to a young boy, three years old. I saw a video online, heartbreaking. I don't know if you've seen it, but his name has been changed. His name is now Rachamim Sasson Rafael, Ben Bracha Frumagittal. This young boy, I believe is in California, had an accident, a swimming accident where he ended up drowning and is now in a coma, fighting for his life, and his parents, a religious family, are broken, understandably broken. It's a very hard video to watch. I'm going to put a small clip of it just so you understand what these parents are dealing with.

SPEAKER_00

First of all, I want to thank everybody that's praying for our baby Rafan Sasson. Now Rafael Rafael, Sassan Rafael, then Brahma from Aguito and Murdafashanukka. I want to ask everyone to keep please praying. He's a very special boy. He was born in the Shabi'ah. He loves to go to Beth Nash. He loves to go to Shul. He loves the Torah. He's a very special boy. Let's open the gates of heaven, everybody.

SPEAKER_01

It's heart-wrenching. But keep them in your prayers. I've been praying for them all Shabbat. I'm going to continue to pray for them every day until this boy regains consciousness and gets back to his full health. God willing, that'll happen sooner than later. God is capable of anything and everything, my friends. You could turn it around in seconds. He can open up that child's eyes and make it as though it's never happened. So please keep this child in your prayers. Let's get into

Honesty As The Real Business Edge

SPEAKER_01

it, my friends. We're talking about the dishonest business person, the dishonest, high pressure snake oil salesman, the guy who demonstrates for you clearly that he has absolutely no faith in the creator. He doesn't know that there is a big boss that runs the show. And as a result, what happens? He ends up doing all of these things to be able to make money that end up making his life miserable. Does it mean it's not going to work? Obviously not, because there's a test, and we've said a hundred times that in the direction that a person wants to go, God has an obligation to take him. And that means if you want to be a snake oil salesman, if you want to be a high-pressure salesperson because you think that's the only way to succeed in business, then he will give you successes as you take that approach. It will become successful in your hand. You will see amazing reward as a result of your sales tactics. But what's the difference? What's the key? The key is that you didn't have to do that. You didn't have to stoop to that level where it now affects other people negatively. There's only going to be negative fallout from that. And you could have received that very same amount of income that you received through your high-pressure sales tactics by being an honest, caring salesperson, somebody who shoots straight, who tells it to you exactly like it is. If you want to buy it, it's here for you. If you don't want to buy it, don't buy it. If that's your approach, you will sleep well at night. Your customer will appreciate you, and you will have blessing with your money. The opposite is true of the high-pressure salesperson. They're going to end up having to deal with customers who want returns. The item's not working for the customer the way that they expected it to work out. They end up filing a lawsuit, a claim against you. Suddenly you're defending yourself in court when you didn't have to. You could have made the very same amount of money, but it would have come to you with pleasure. It would have come to you easily, and you would have enjoyed the entire process and you would have built a long-term relationship with your customers who you can continue to sell instead of having to go and find new victims to be able to sell to, because that guy's not going to buy from you anymore. Once they bought from you and they walk away and they lick their wounds, they realize they made a mistake, they're not going to buy from you again. So now you have to go out and find all these different victims to be able to sell your perfectly good product. That's the thing. You don't have to be selling junk. If you're selling junk, then you're going to have to naturally resort to high-pressure sale tactics because those two go together. Why are you selling junk in the first place? If you find yourself in that position, then you already have to make a change. And you know that it's going to come with the need, the demand for high-pressure sales tactics because it's junk. By definition, you have to force the sale. If you're selling something that is of good quality, then you don't have to work so hard. And that customer who buys it from you loves the fact that they bought it from you, utilizes whatever they bought from you, and it adds value to their life. And they didn't feel pressured. So the next time they need to buy, they come to you. Or they send you their friends in their family. I have to tell you, in my family, I was telling you before in a previous episode, we have people who are in the contracting business, a business that is notorious for theft and scammers, people being left holding the bags, having spent so much money, and then having all these additional expenses that they weren't anticipating. But thank God my family got into that business because we wanted to combat that. And we've done, thank God, an amazing job of it. There's no high-pressure sales tactics. It is exactly what you see, is what you get. And as a result of that, there's almost no advertising. A vast majority of the business comes as a result of word of mouth. Why? Because people realize that it was a smooth, above-board transaction. They feel good about the entire transaction. Does that mean it all goes off perfectly? No, there are always going to be issues. The question is not whether or not you have issues, it's how you put those issues to bed. How do you deal with that customer? Do you deal with them in a way that demonstrates good faith? I don't mind taking back the item. I don't mind making the situation good for you. I don't mind giving you back your money. I don't mind compensating you because I don't want you to feel bad. If that's the approach, you will never lose. And the only way to come with that approach, sincerely, is to know that I'm not supposed to have this money. It's not mine to keep. The sale was not supposed to happen at that time or with this person under these circumstances. And therefore, I have to be just as good giving back the money as I was taking the money. Do you know how difficult that is today in so many industries where somebody's given a large sum of money in return for a service or a product, and suddenly for whatever reason it doesn't work out, and now that salesperson has to dig deep and return back that money? That's a difficult place to find yourself, especially when you've got payroll to make or when you're having a slow month, and there's so many different reasons for you to want to hang on to that money. Suddenly you find these corporations are taking off. Oh, well, we're deducting a stocking fee here, and we can't give you the full amount because you've used it, and they'll come up with a million different excuses to hang on to your money. There are so many people like that. It feels like it's the norm. You have to be the exception. When you see the person who's the exception, they will always win. The sneaky high pressure sales tactic is always driven by the guy who's looking for other work, always looking to sell. If you got something for me to sell, can I work? I'm great in sales and they're running around selling everybody. Do you know who oftentimes they're selling the best? They themselves and their bosses. That's who they find themselves working so hard to prove that they're as good as they are, because they feel like it's all them. They lack Imuna entirely. If they had Imuna, they wouldn't be trying to convince everybody of how great they are. Let's move on to a really interesting topic, my friends.

Why Gambling Destroys Clear Thinking

SPEAKER_01

This one is gonna hit home. This is a big one in our day and age. It's called gambling. You all know about it. Some of you gamble, some of you don't. I am not a gambler, but there are people who I know who gamble quite often. And it's a very telling sign of where they think their money is coming from and who controls their money. I want to read to you from the book and we'll take it from there. It says gambling is a terrible sickness, even more addictive than alcohol, tobacco, and drugs. It literally buries people and reduces them to a subhuman level. Gambling and immuna just do not mix. If you think that that's going too far, let me just tell you about a video I saw the other day. A woman in Las Vegas, a nurse who was working the night shift with little kids and a family, left the hospital at seven o'clock in the morning when her shift was over, drove to pick up her children, and then found herself later on in a casino at seven o'clock in the morning. In a casino, and she was in there for hours until she realized that there was a commotion happening in the parking lot. And when she went out to see what was going on, she realized that people were gathered around her car. And then she ran out only to find police and fire and all kinds of civilians trying to save the life of her small children who were stuck in that car. She forgot about them completely. She was so driven to get back to the casino because she knew that her time was coming and she just had to get there at the right time. And she found herself making all kinds of excuses to police and fire. I was only here for 20 minutes. I just ran in to see if my husband was here. Excuse after excuse after excuse, but they had it all on camera. And they saw exactly when she pulled into the parking lot, and they know exactly where she was in the casino. If any place has cameras, the casino has them. And they found this nurse who during the day is saving lives, who has a big heart, who has gotten into an industry where she wants to help people. And she ends up in the most corrupt place in the world, in a casino at seven o'clock in the morning, in the heat of Las Vegas, with her children forgotten in the backseat of her car. Subhuman levels. It doesn't mean that she's a bad person. It drives you to behave in a way that is subhuman. It pulls on your heartstrings. It pulls on your brain. It doesn't allow you to think straight. It puts you into a fog, into a haze where you don't even recognize yourself in your own actions. To lust for money is the root cause of gambling. It's the desire for that windfall. I need to be the hero that made the jackpot. I need to be able to get what that person got. It looks like an easy road to money, it says, but the glitter of Easy Street is none other than a deceptive avenue of living deaths and bitterness, broken families, debt, loan sharks, and utter despair. That's where it goes. Does that mean that everybody whoever walks into a casino is going to end up there? Obviously not. Some people have more control than others. But the vast majority of humanity are going to fall when it comes to this. Most people are not built up enough. Does that mean you're never allowed to walk into a casino? If you can avoid it, then avoid it. Stay away from it. If you are not an incredibly strong-willed person, do not walk into a casino. But the worst part is you may even try and convince yourself that you're a strong-willed enough person, that you'll walk into it and only find out the hard way. Don't be that person, my friends. Gambling makes a person's head spin. The evil inclination has a standard template. Listen to this, for trapping people in this death trap. What does he do? He shows a person someone that made a windfall in the casino. You know what that is? That's the guy sitting next to you. When you just went in and you said, I'm going to play 100 buttons, it's no big deal. And you walk in with your $100, and the guy at the slot machine beside you pulls on that lever and suddenly made $10,000. And you're blown away. What's that person doing? They're jumping for joy. Their friends and family are surrounding them. The bells and the lights are going off. It's a commotion. Everybody's coming over and they're smiling and they're happy and they're giving this guy a pat on the back. Everybody's elated and they're taking pictures, right? And this guy's top of the world. Now, what are you thinking to yourself? That must be nice. Wow, I'd love to have that happen to me. And so suddenly that hundred turns into, well, maybe another hundred, right? And now that that person has left that slot machine, maybe I should take a seat on that one. It was a lucky machine. So now nobody's looking. I can jump on it, right? There's excuse after excuse after excuse. Why? Because you want to be that very person. That casino, that building is built with purpose. It is designed from the ground up to be able to get you to walk in and not leave that place, to dump every penny that you can into that building. They don't care about you. It doesn't matter that they have a little booth at the front that says, Do you have a gambling addiction? That you walk by in a second. It's right at the front. You walk by it as you're excited to get into the casino, right? Do you have a gambling problem? Stop in here and we'll explain it to you. Do me a favor. Nobody ever goes in there. They send people around looking for people who are having a hard time. But how often does that help, my friends? And so what? So you send them out, you know where they come back the next day? To the very same casino. And they'll make their way in and they'll hit a table and they won't stop them. A gambler will sell his business, his home, and a car to keep the dice rolling. I have a friend who works in that office. When you walk into a casino, they try and find the people who have gambling problems. And he has told me that people have given away their last penny and they have sold their homes. They have sold the jewelry off of the hands. They have given away everything. If their kids were there, they would have given away their children to be able to continue gambling. You may think it's not you and it may not be you today, but if you're a gambler today, there is no guarantee that that won't be you tomorrow. Remember, you cannot bring in one more dollar than the amount that was allotted to you. The whole purpose of a casino is that they are taking your hard-earned money and we work so hard for our money. Nobody wants to part with it. Yeah, you get a little bit of enjoyment out of it, but nine times out of ten, you're coming out of there depressed because you just gave away your hard-earned money. Why? There are so many other good things you could be doing with that money to improve your life and the lives of your friends and your family around you. Just think about that, my friends. Find another hobby. Gambling is not a good one. It's one that will ultimately end in negativity and hardship. We'll finish with this. Money derived from gambling is like stolen money. That's a Torah halakhic idea. It is considered stolen money. It hasn't been relinquished willfully. It's what I just told you. You go in there anticipating a win, not a loss. So when you relinquish it to a loss, you are unhappy. Therefore, you feel as though somebody is stolen from you. Money won in gambling has no blessing. That's an obvious one. The gambler won't see any benefit from such gains. You put that money to work and it will not produce, it will not yield fruits. The Torah doesn't even allow you to donate money that is stolen to a synagogue or to religious causes. God doesn't want it. He says, look, I don't need dirty money. If you're coming with dirty money that's gotten by ill means, whether it's high-pressure sales, stealing or gambling, don't bring it here. So please, if you're a gambler, if it is your form of entertainment, do everything you can to find another form of entertainment because it is simply not connected to Amuna. It is very similar to a person who steals and that it says clearly that I'm in this building, I'm sitting at that table because I don't recognize that there was a creator that runs the world. That I think this casino dealer or this slot machine is going to determine whether or not I walk out of here a rich individual. Flies in the face of everything that we've learned, my
